riding horses then eating horses

I don't know what it is about horses that is just draws me to them, but i like them.

today my Bong Won oppa took me horseback riding. I am going to go riding every weekend. =]

dream come true...yea??

well....riding horses LOOKS easy, but it's tough. They asked me if i'd ever been on a horse before and i naturally said yes. i done horse trail rides....TWICE! o yea!!! So they decided to skip over the pony and let me get straight on a horse.

BIG MISTAKE. let's just say thank god i was wearing a harness.

I was all good and dandy when the horse started to walk, i had the security of the harness, the wind was nipping at my nose, i was on a horse, it was glorious.

then it started to trot, my legs fumbled about, i didn't have any balance, the horse was too fast, i fell off and i dangled in the air while my horse was tangled in the reins. the instructor said to try again. so i did, ummm not the best idea. the instructor also told me that he's never had anyone actually fall off a horse before. wow, go me.

they demoted me to the pony ring. i gladly RAN to the ponies. but the ponies aren't THAT small. and bad news for me, no harness but a ring on the saddle you can use as a hand grip. uh oh...

they had too much faith in me. i went around and around, my not-so-bootylicious behind slammed onto the saddle over and over and over and over again...you get the painful picture.

and all while struggling to stay on, the teacher kept trying to give me directions in english, which he is not fluent in. communication problems all around. not that i was listening to him, i was concentrated on not falling off the pony.

i suffered through an hour and then to my relief, it was over, thank god the sun went down. god is seriously sooo goood. =]

i limped my way over to the main house. My cousin and his gf were already seated drinking mackoli. they told me to sit and eat and drink. they gave me some meat and as i tried it, i hear, out of the my ears..."Horse meat is the BEST!!"

i almost choke. i ask, timidly, if i was eating horse, and the head lady of the house grins and says yes.

it is not a common meat to eat, in fact it's pretty rare and pricey. it was my cousin and gf's first time eating it too, so don't go around saying that koreans eat dogs...and HORSES. because most don't. and i'll deny i ever ate it, this post will dissappear and i will lie out of my guilty horse eating mouth.

all in all, i felt awful sitting there. eating horse after riding horse. i wish it wasn't considered rude to refuse hospitality. i did the anorexic thing and pushed my food around the plate to make it look like i was eating. it was definitely an experience.

o and now i am sick.

i know it's going to be bad because my armpits are sore. i'll post more about my sore armpits next time.

i'm going to guzzle...er...take the recommended dose of nyquil and knock out.
