but i'll just tell you about one...
i met up with an old high school friend today and we were discussing relationships between friends, roommates, and exes. i am the type to easily forgive and forget, for instance, the resolution i made about never forgiving -----, out the window, i'm over it. i'll sit through hours of tears with friends who are going through fights, break ups, whatever. my friend plays the tough love card, she states she will cast you aside if you don't play by her rules, she puts limits on how long you can whine about an ex.
i wish i could be like her sometimes. cast off friends who, when you really sit down and think about it, aren't really your friends. i keep in contact with some people who really do me no good. friends are supposed to be there for you, someone who you should be comfortable with. tonight i realized that i can never be friends with someone because for all the good times we had, i'm not comfortable with them. they make me nervous and i, for some strange reason, use spell check when talking to them. definitely not comfortable. nothing is gained except unnecessary shit i can't deal with. but, in all honesty, for some unexplainable reason, i think i'd addicted to them. i must be a masochist. damn.
sometimes it's just not meant to be. sometimes you are your own worst enemy.
on the other side, there's fox, my BEST friend. i don't think i can find anyone who gets me more than him. with him, i can just be. and what a relief that is. and what fun comes out of it! sometimes i can't believe the ridiculous things we talk about or do, we just fit. we can be doing anything or nothing and it is enough for me. yup, that chelsea boy, he gets me.
also,
today's valuable lesson: everyone fucks up but not everyone talks about their fuck ups. learn it, love it, live it.
